Frequently Asked Questions About The Springdale Runoff
When & Where is the Springdale Runoff Election?
The runoff is on November 25th, but you can vote early. Early voting is all at the Washington County Courthouse and begins on November 18th. If you vote on Runoff Day (Nov. 25th), then you will vote at your regular polling location. If you have questions, call the Washington County Clerk at 444-1711, or the Benton County Clerk at 271-1013.
What if I didn’t vote in the general election?
All registered voters can vote in the runoff, regardless of whether or not you voted in the general election.
What should I bring with me to vote?
You need a photo ID to vote. If you do not have a photo ID, you may bring a copy of a current utility bill, bank statement, government check or other government document, any of which must show your name and current address. If you filled out a “sample ballot” prior to the election, you may want to bring it for your own reference to transfer your votes over to your real ballot. You do not need your voter registration card in order to vote. Just bring your photo ID.
What if I make a mistake on my ballot?
If you would like a new ballot, just request one from a poll worker. They will take your old one and mark it as a mistake, and then provide you with a new ballot.
What if I don’t want to vote in a particular race, or particular ballot measure?
You may vote in whichever races you like, and leave other races blank. The votes you do mark will still be counted.
Can someone assist me in voting?
Yes. If you need assistance in filling in your choices on the ballot, you may bring any person you designate (a friend or family member, for example) with you to the polls and that person can assist you. Or, if you prefer, you can ask a poll worker to assist you. In that case, one poll worker will fill in your choices as you instruct, while another poll worker witnesses it to ensure your ballot is filled out according to your wishes.
What if Josh isn’t on my ballot?
Return your ballot to a poll worker, and ask them to confirm that you received the correct ballot. Polling locations sometimes have several ballot types, and they may have mistakenly given you the wrong one. If you live within the city limits of Springdale, Josh will be on your ballot (even if you live in Benton County!). If he’s not, please stop and ask a poll worker to explain why.
